Olá!
As férias acabaram finalmente e, como tal, tenho imensas coisas para vos contar, especialmente da minha última viagem: México.
Este ano o meu destino de Verão foi a Riviera Maya no México, na verdade, o que eu achava que seriam umas férias para relaxar numa praia paradisíaca, acabou por ser uma pequena aventura que, felizmente, terminou bem. Depois de tudo marcado e agendado para umas férias inesquecíveis a serem passadas no complexo Baya Príncipe na Riviera Maya, adivinhem a minha reacção quando chego e me deparo com uma praia com pedras e não, não estou falar daquelas pedrinhas pequenas que tornam difícil andar na areia mas são suportáveis. Estou a falar de pedras e bem grandes, em todos o lado, dentro da água que podiam causar grandes mazelas caso não soubéssemos da sua existência, que foi o nosso caso.
Segundo o que percebi depois, há cerca de 8 anos houve um furacão naquela zona que afectou principalmente a praia onde o complexo do Bahia Príncipe está instalado, e levou toda a areia, deixando o espaço árido e destruído. Como resultado disso, temos uma praia com um areal pequeno e com cordões criados para ajudar a que a areia se mantenha no mesmo sítio e a praia não desapareça.
Ainda assim, e só tendo sido informada disto depois de já ter deixado o hotel, não estávamos satisfeitos com a praia e o quarto que nos tinham atribuído não era muito melhor, além de velho, estava muito danificado e o cofre tinha um buraco por isso, imaginem o cenário.
Indignados, decidimos deixar o hotel, de malas e bagagens na mão, num taxi tipicamente mexicano, sem rumo mas com o objetivo de descobrir um hotel e, principalmente, uma praia, que nos agradasse mais. E aqui estávamos nós, perdidos no México, a andar de um lado para o outro em busca de um hotel com vagas, o que era quase impossível já que estávamos em Agosto.
Finalmente, após uma pequena pesquisa na internet e teve mesmo de ser pequena, já que lá os dados móveis custam uma fortuna, e seguindo os conselhos do nosso taxista, chegamos ao hotel que tínhamos visto inicialmente: Blue Diamond.
Acabamos por ficar num quarto incrível que estava localizado no meio da pequena "selva" que o hotel tinha, e até tivemos direito a uma espécie de mini piscina só para nós, era como se estivéssemos no meio de um filme.
O tempo que passamos no hotel foi extraordinário, as instalações eram lindíssimas, a praia era bastante melhor, já para não falar do serviço, que era excepcional. A pequena "selva" que o hotel tinha, fazia com que existissem imensos animais como crocodilos, que podiam ser avistados num dos restaurantes do hotel, e guaxinins, um deles chamava-se Rigoberta, era a mascote do hotel e adorava passar tempo na nossa varanda.
Como estávamos perto de Playa del Carmen e de uma das 7 maravilhas do Mundo, decidimos fazer um tour onde vimos sítios fabulosos, de cortar a respiração mas isso, deixo para o meu próximo post onde vou fazer um guia com o melhor a visitar em Playa de Carmen.
Para já, deixo-vos algumas fotos dos meus dias de férias onde vão poder ver alguns dos meus bikinis que, já agora, se tornaram numa nova "obsessão" minha, e um pouco do hotel onde fiquei, espero que gostem!

Vacations are finally over and I have lots of things to tell you, specially about my latest trip to México.
My holiday destination this year was Riviera Maya and, what I thought would be a calm week to relax, turned out to be quite an adventure that, fortunately, ended up well. After everything booked for an amazing holiday time at Bahia Príncipe, guess how I reacted when I looked at the beach and it had tons of rocks, and no, I don't mean those tiny little stones that make it hard for you to walk on the sand but are bearable. I mean actual rocks that were all over the place, inside the water and could cause serious damage in case you weren't aware of them , like we weren't.
As I've been told, there was a hurricane in that area that mainly affected Bahia Príncipe's beaches, and took all the sand, leaving them with a destroyed place. As a result, they now have a beach with a small area of sand and had to create a way to keep the sand from disappearing.
As we were very disappointed with the beach and the room we had was no better and, it was actually pretty old and was very damaged and, the safety box had a hole in it, so you can figure out how the scenario was going on for us.
Not happy with our option, we decided to leave with our bags, in a typical mexican cab and go look for another place to stay, with a better beach. So there we were, lost in México walking around several places trying to find a hotel with a free room which was nearly impossible since we were in August. But then, after a small internet search, and it really had to be small cause paying up for the internet was no cheap thing, and bearing in mind some advices our taxi driver was giving us, we finally went to the first hotel we've seen: Blue Diamond.
We stayed in an amazing room located in the middle of a little "jungle" the hotel had, and even had a small "pool" in our room which made us feel like if we were on a movie.
The time we spent in the hotel turned out to be amazing, the facilities were lovely and the beach was nicer than the other one, not to mention, the service we had, which was flawless. The little "jungle" the hotel had, had lots of different animals such as crocodiles which could be seen from one of the hotel's restaurants, and raccoons, one of the called Rigoberta, she was the mascot of the hotel and loved to spent time in our balcony.
As we were near Cancun and one of the 7 Wonders of the World we took a tour and visited some places that actually took our breath away, but that I'll tell you in my next post, where I'll make a guide with the best things to visit when in Playa del Carmen .
